To Be One After God's Heart

"The Heart of David" is a Thursday evening bible study/teaching/discussion that focuses on getting to know what God is showing us at the current time.  We are exploring His word, growing closer to Him, and becoming equipped with the tools needed to fight the Dark principalities of this world in Jesus name.  On these nights the study is preceded and/or followed by a time of intimate prayer and praise to God. The Following is one the topics studied at "The Heart of David":

 The Peace of God:

Psalm 29:11

The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.

John 14:27

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

An encouraging word for the time we are in:

The Scriptures are clear that difficult times are coming upon the world, but at the same time the glory of the Lord will be coming on His people...Hearing the prophecies about difficulties should not disturb us, disasters such as September 11th bombing and such should not make us anxious but should awaken us and help to prepare us.

However, this will be true only if we abide in the Peace of God.  The Lord is not sitting in heaven and worrying about anything, and neither will those of us who are abiding in Him.  If we are abiding in Him the whole world can collapse around us and we will be at peace because we  have built our lives on the Kingdom that can not be shaken.
